About Suzanne Ross and the Wicked Truth

As an author, educator, and nonprofit founder, I am passionate about exploring the complexities of human nature and fostering peaceful, compassionate communities. My experiences as a Director of Christian Education and a Montessori preschool teacher continue to inform my current writing projects.

Author Suzanne Ross

A passion for peace

Along with my husband Keith, I co-founded the Raven Foundation–an online platform dedicated to resources in nonviolent theology–and unRival Network, where I partnered with global peacebuilders to learn from their work in conflict transformation and trauma healing. Today, those missions are continued by my colleagues at Street Psalms, who support grassroots leaders through innovative seminary programs.

My writing reflects the lessons I've learned from those pursuing true peace, especially how they use art to bend the imagination away from violence.

Follow for updates!

I am currently working on a second edition of my 2007 book, The Wicked Truth: When Good People Do Bad Things, inspired by my fascination with the Broadway musical Wicked and its presentation of deep, enduring moral questions. The second edition is set to release in early 2026, right on the heels of Universal Studios' film adaptation!

Alongside my book, I am also developing a stage play about Dr. Maria Montessori, whose vision for peaceful education continues to inspire my work.

Join a growing community of peacebuilders

I am always eager to connect with fellow educators, authors, and changemakers who share a commitment to empathy, nonviolence, and transformative learning. Let’s collaborate to create a more compassionate world!
